Travel Planner Highlight - Gina Ramsey

Updated: Mar 5, 2019

Why did you want to become a Travel Planner?

In our busy lives, a vacation allows the opportunity to briefly escape from reality and kick back, relax and enjoy special time with your family, significant other or with friends. However, planning a vacation involves a lot of time in researching and attention to detail and important deadlines. This can be even more overwhelming when planning to vacation at a new destination. I enjoy helping others by utilizing my many years of expertise to provide guidance and suggestions, thus taking the guess work out of the planning, so that they can simply enjoy their vacation.

What is your favorite Disney theme park?

Magic Kingdom

What is your favorite attraction and why?

Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. I’ve never been a fan of freefall rides. I love the way the way this attraction puts you through a series of drops. I laugh every time in listening to everyone screaming.

What is your favorite Disney spot to take photographs of?

On the bridge going to Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom. It is a beautiful spot to get the perfect photo with Cinderella Castle in the background.

Are you an early bird or a night owl during your Disney vacations?

Both. There are so many magical moments, I never want to miss any of them.

What is your favorite WDW resort?

I have 2 so far:

  • Polynesian. So many great memories with staying there with my parents when I was a kid. No matter what resort I am staying at when I am at Walt Disney World, I always go back there to visit.

  • Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter- I love the relaxing environment and being able to take a boat ride to and from Disney Springs is an extra perk.

If you could work as a Cast Member, what would your dream job be?

I would love to be a tour guide at Walt Disney World.

What is your favorite Disney film?

Beauty and the Beast

What is your favorite Disney memory?

Wow, that’s a tough one. I have so many. I would have to say participating in the Wine and Dine Half Marathon with my brother, my daughter, my friend and her daughter. We called ourselves the Fab 5. What an awesome experience with family and friends.

If you could ask Walt one question, what would you ask?

Though very successful, Walt had to overcome many barriers to finally achieve his goals. I would ask him “What was your driving force and inspiration in overcoming those barriers to ensure your dream was realized?”
